Working families are stressed by the instability of their jobs, and mounting foreclosures have devastated our home values. Our government must get down to business. I believe I can offer real solutions before we run out of time. During these tough times I coordinated the largest renewable energy workforce training in the State of California, which re-trained displaced workers in the construction industry in State Certified green building technologies which resulted in one of the highest job placements (over 50%) statewide. As as a former Deputy State Controller, I worked to root-out waste, fraud and abuse in government, in order to make sure our state gets the most out of its financial resources. When I take my place as an elected representative of our community, I'll lead our fight to make Sacramento more efficient, and take swift action to fuel small businesses, protect our senior citizens, fix our schools, and stabilize the lives of working families. I have a seasoned track record of knowing how to do it, and I will work hard to make that happen. |
